On: Sep 29, 2006 (10:06:05)
Muralist Aime Palmer , of Shoreline, puts the finishing touches are the artwork she created for the Shoreline Fire Department's new Fire Safety Center in Richmond Beach. The mural was commissioned by the Shoreline International Association of Firefighters Local 1760 -- as a backdrop for children who get their picture taken sliding down the child-sized fire pole. The Safety Center, set to open later this month, is targeted to children under the age of 6 to learn about fire and life safety. Palmer, a professional artist and set designer, can be contacted via her company, Scenicpeaches@juno.com . com.

On: May 07, 2006 (08:57:37)
SIX NEW FIREFIGHTERS COME ABOARD
The Shoreline Fire Department recently hired six experienced Firefighter/EMTs. The six, from various areas around Puget Sound, were selected during a highly competitive, statewide process.
They were introduced to the Local members at our last meeting on May 3rd. The traditional after meeting showing of appreciation has been deferred until a future meeting - well we were mostly all on duty!
Welcome aboard!
